Among the research developed al NMS, there are seven groups dedicated to the Retina & Vision field, each known for their robust scientific productivity and international acclaim. These groups are deeply engaged in fundamental research aired at uncovering the molecular mechanisms linked to retina-related diseases in my group, the Degeneration and Ageing Lab. our research is primarily focused on unraveling the molecular mechanisms behind retinal degeneration within the framework of aging-related diseases, utilizing retinal organoids. We work closely with clinicians and informaticans to develop mnovetive imaging analysis tools aimed at improving the early diagnosis and the identification of imaging markers for intermediate AMD progression Dunng my presentation, wil showcase and discuss some of the prominent ongoing projects as examples of our flagship initiatives inihatives should empower women who choose to balance tamily responsibilities with leaderstup roles in science or pursue successful careers in fields where research offen demands extended work hours and frequent travel.
