The seminar presents multispectral and hyperspectral imaging as tools for medical diagnosis, with emphasis on eye-related diseases. Prof. Vilaseca Ricart will discuss LED-based imagers for non-invasive skin-cancer diagnosis, spectral cameras for ocular-pathology detection and hyperspectral methods combined with confocal laser scanning microscopy for blood-disease diagnostics. She will also show how deep-learning models can classify healthy and diseased biological samples.
