Prof. Bożena Romanowska-Dixon, MD, PhD is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology as well as the Clinical Department of Ophthalmology and Ocular Oncology at the University Hospital in Kraków.
A leading specialist in ocular oncology, her work focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of intraocular tumors, cataract surgery, brachytherapy, and proton therapy for uveal melanoma. She has introduced innovative surgical and radiotherapeutic techniques into clinical practice and has led or participated in numerous clinical and research initiatives.
In addition to her academic and clinical work, she has held prominent leadership roles in national and international ophthalmological societies, contributed extensively to scientific publishing and postgraduate training, and helped shape the development of ocular oncology in Poland and beyond.
