Wielokrotne prezentowanie danego typu bod\u017aca wzrokowego mo\u017ce indukowa\u0107 zmiany w sieci neuronalnej i prowadzi\u0107 do wzmocnienia odpowiedzi. Taki efekt zosta\u0142 zaobserwowany i opisany na poziomie pierwszorzedowej kory wzrokowej (ang. primary visual cortex: V1). Celem przeprowadzonych przez nas bada\u0144 by\u0142o sprawdzenie wp\u0142ywu powtarzalnego treningu wzrokowego, r\u00f3wnie\u017c na poziomie podkorowym,&nbsp; w szczeg\u00f3lno\u015bci we wzg\u00f3rku czworaczym g\u00f3rnym (ang. superior colliculus; SC), struktur\u0105 wchodz\u0105c\u0105 w sk\u0142ad pozakolankowatej drogi wzrokowej. W badaniu wykazano, i\u017c trzygodzinny, bierny trening wzrokowy, oparty na wielokrotnie powtarzanych, prostych bod\u017acach wzrokowych&nbsp; wywo\u0142uje wzmocnienie odpowiedzi wzrokowych zar\u00f3wno na poziomie korowym, jak i we wzg\u00f3rku czworaczym g\u00f3rnym u szczura. Kolejna cz\u0119\u015b\u0107 pracy dotyczy\u0142a wyja\u015bnienia powsta\u0142ego wzmocnienia w SC, do kt\u00f3rego informacja wzrokowa dostarczana jest zar\u00f3wno z siatk\u00f3wki jak i z warstwy 5 V1. Waleszczyk<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repetitive visual stimulation is successfully used in a study on the visual evoked potential (VEP) plasticity in the visual system in mammals. Practicing visual tasks or repeated exposure to sensory stimuli can induce neuronal network changes in the cortical circuits and improve the perception of these stimuli. However, little is known about the effect of visual training at the subcortical level. In the present study, we extend the knowledge showing positive results of this training in the rat\u2019s Superior colliculus (SC). In electrophysiological experiments, we showed that a single training session lasting several hours induces a response enhancement both in the primary visual cortex (V1) and in the SC. Further, we tested if collicular responses will be enhanced without V1 input. For this reason, we inactivated the V1 by applying xylocaine solution onto the cortical surface during visual training. Our results revealed that SC\u2019s response enhancement was present even without V1 inputs and showed no difference in amplitude comparing to VEPs enhancement while the V1 was active.
