Research Grants Specialist – Post Award (MCBO_2_7/2025) – competition ended, vacancy filled

Would you like to support cutting-edge scientific research by helping to obtain and account for funds for innovative projects? Do you have experience in navigating the mechanisms of research funding within national and international grant agencies? Join our dynamic and growing team as a Research Grant Specialist (post-award) and support the implementation of groundbreaking projects carried out at the Centre of Excellence in Ophthalmology – the ICTER International Eye Research Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting ICTER scientists and research teams in the proper implementation, accounting, and reporting of national and international grants.
  • Formal verification of grant applications.
  • Monitoring project budgets, controlling expenditure, and ensuring compliance with funding rules.
  • Supporting the preparation of project reports in accordance with the requirements of funding institutions.
  • Cooperate with project managers, the finance department, and the administration of ICTER/Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences.
  • Provide information and advice on project implementation rules.
  • Archive project documentation and support audit processes.
  • Update project data in internal and external systems.

Requirements

  • Higher education (preferably in economics, management, administration, social sciences or related fields).
  • Experience in handling projects financed from external sources (e.g. NCN, NCBR, Horizon Europe, FNP).
  • Good knowledge of the rules for implementing and settling research grants.
  • Ability to work with project documentation, financial documentation, and reports.
  • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
  • Independence, accuracy, and good work organisation.
  • Communication skills and the ability to work in a project team.
